Performance & Tuning

Ignite for SQL Server allows DBAs to leverage Wait-Time analysis, a best-practice method widely used for optimizing Oracle database performance, for environments that include SQL Server as well. Ignite for SQL Server provides a common repository for capturing both types of data, a single desktop client for reporting, and monitors any application that is dependent on SQL or Oracle.

ActiveKnowledge™
Enterprise applications and Business Intelligence solutions quickly outgrow system capacity as response time deteriorates and important business services fail to meet acceptable levels. When that happens, the only option remains is to spend time and money to tune overall Oracle database configuration or massively invest in additional hardware, which provides minor and timely relief.

There is a better way; ActiveBase's ActiveKnowledge software provides a simple and effective solution that guarantees profound performance improvements.

Ignite™ for DB2
Ignite for DB2 improves how enterprises monitor, analyze and optimize their DB2 databases and applications. Designed for database administrators (DBAs) responsible for business critical systems and solutions, Confio’s new product gives DBAs a method of bringing best-practice performance management to their DB2 systems.

Ignite for DB2 has incorporated monitoring for DB2 Version 9 for Linux, Unix and Windows environments.

Ignite™ for Java
Ignite for Java is an application performance management system that improves performance through every layer of a Web/Java/Oracle application. Using industry best-practice Wait-Time analysis, Ignite correlates the application delays in the J2EE and Oracle database servers to identify the root causes of performance bottlenecks. Ignite allows Java-based application owners, DBAs and Java system administrators to isolate and resolve application delays more efficiently than with traditional system management tools.

Ignite™ for Oracle
Ignite for Oracle is Confio’s Wait-Time based performance tool for improving IT system performance and service levels on Oracle databases. Ignite gives deep visibility to root causes of performance bottlenecks, allowing DBAs to find the problem and resolve it more efficiently than with traditional system management tools.

Ignite™ for SQL Server
Ignite for SQL Server allows DBAs to leverage Wait-Time analysis, a best-practice method widely used for optimizing Oracle database performance, for environments that include SQL Server as well. Ignite for SQL Server provides a common repository for capturing both types of data, a single desktop client for reporting, and monitors any application that is dependent on SQL or Oracle.

Ignite™ Web Client
The Ignite Web Client gives access to the wait time analysis of the Confio Igniter Suite from a web browser, eliminating the need for an installed Oracle client on the user’s desktop. Using a newly designed interface, the Web Client makes Ignite performance results accessible to more users from more locations, and eliminates the need to pre-configure a client prior to benefiting from Ignite.

JaxView
JaxView from Managed Methods provides architects and IT operations teams with practical, cost-effective tools for monitoring and managing standards-based (SOAP) and REST Web services. JaxView is offered in three versions which togther offer capabilities for the following:

Agentless Web Services Management
In an agentless deployment, JaxView can monitor service activity using out-of-band data to minimize network load. This saves time and money as there is no need to install and maintain messaging agents or reconfigure services to route messaging through a proxy intermediary. In this mode, JaxView is able to automatically discover Web services, auto-configure management settings, and monitor usage, performance, and event incidents.
Service Intermediary and Governance
JaxView can be installed as a network intermediary or proxy to enable security for services, to broker messages, and to enforce runtime policies. This includes mediating between service endpoints, content-based message brokering, and enabling automated exception handling and service failover capabilities.
Web Services Availability Monitoring
For service "heartbeat" monitoring, JaxView acts as a service client to periodically send requests to a service endpoint to verify availability and function. This is an important aspect of service level management.

Each JaxView downloads and installs as a single package for ease of deployment. It is built on a thin-client, server-based application architecture that you access and manage using a Web browser.
