Ignite Web Client gives access to Ignite performance monitoring features without any software installed on the user PC. Access Ignite from standard IE and Firefox browsers. All Web Client software runs on a web server which directly access the Ignite Repository in place of an installed Window client.
Now managers, developers and DBAs who need occasional access to Ignite data can gain access without any pre-installed software. IT Managers who need to see the impact of database performance on end user service levels can take a quick look and see the improved Wait Time results that come with using Ignite.
The Web Client does not replace the need for at least one system administrator to use the full Windows Client, as certain essential setup, maintenance, reporting and alerting features are accessible only through the full Windows Client. However, for casual usage of Ignite features, the Web Client offers the most frequent access.

In situations where a DBA needs instant access to database performance systems from home or a distant facility, the Ignite Web Client provides universal access from any PC. Since all report generation and data gathering takes place on the Web Client server, remote access to the web interface is effective even over slower WAN or VPN links.
Easy ConfigurationThe Ignite Web Client is easy for administrators to configure. A self contained package for Windows, UNIX and Linux systems includes a dedicated Apache web server, eliminating the need for any other web server software. Ignite Web Client server components can be installed on the Ignite Repository if desired.
Administration and initial installation of Igniter Suite still requires an Oracle client and full install of the Ignite Client Windows software on at least one administrator’s PC. All subsequent users can utilize either Windows or Web client.
